Many high school students are faced with the question of “What do you want to do for your career?” and some are even lucky enough to know what they want to pursue. Knowing what you want to pursue is only a small part of the battle though, as there’s the whole bit of… getting there.

I believe the best way to increase your likelihood of successfully “getting there” is learning from others who have already gotten there, hence, the motivation for this podcast. This is all about the transition from dreaming to be an engineer to pursuing the degree and through starting your career.

Follow along as I and special guests share our experience making that transition, and the lessons we’ve learned through mistakes and successes. Topics to be covered include the college application process, getting through college as an engineer, the internship and job application process, career professional development, and future planning. Let’s make better decisions together!

I graduated college with an ABET accredited engineering degree from a small liberal arts school. I’m a registered EIT and a member of the Order of the Engineer. I’ve held memberships in IEEE, SWE, and ASME, and aspire to become a Professional Engineer. Currently, I work in Commercial Management and Project Controls for a large EPC firm. My opinions are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.
